Our goal is to advance the frontiers of knowledge and provide society with new tools for dealing with complex phenomena more effectively and with greater awareness.

To do so, we invest in human capital and innovation. We also drive scientific inquiry beyond the traditional boundaries of the social sciences to include related disciplines such as the data and computer sciences. Furthermore, we investigate the impact of phenomena such as climate change and the pandemic, which are reshaping the daily lives of all of us.
